Artist Bio :
Scott Houston McBee, a New York based artist hails from California. Mcbee moved to New York City in 1989 and has a successful career as a commercial artist working with such prestigious firms as Ogilvy & Mather, Saatchi, BBDO, and Young & Rubicam. Mcbee has held a lifelong passion for travel, the sea, as well as ships and yachts of a bygone era. McBee’s maritime series has been exhibited with The Chinese Porcelain Company/NYC, The South Street Seaport Museum/NYC, and The Masterworks Museum of Bermuda. McBee’s current series is inspired by his many holidays spent at Lyford Cay. The paintings are executed in mixed media with a focus on local flora, fauna, and sea life. McBee’s intuitive use of vivid color and creative compositions create a bold, visual experience that showcase Lyford Cay in it’s tropical splendor.
